Iverson's Move & the Ball
As an ESPN insider, I was able to see a few insider reports on the possible destination of AI. This one looks most interesting:
"A league source said Boston is on the short list of possible Iverson destinations along with Minnesota, Golden State, Indiana, Denver and the Los Angeles Clippers. Another league source said one Celtics trade scenario was Theo Ratliff, Sebastian Telfair, Delonte West, and Al Jefferson for Iverson. -- Boston Globe" (from ESPN.com insider)
The most ideal destinations for AI, from my perspective are Minnesota and Denver. This would boost the contender status of both teams to the top of the Western Conference. In the East it's tough at this point to say Indiana or Boston will make the playoffs this year.
In other news, Stern has decided to bring back the leather Spalding basketball we all love. The reasons cited were several players complaining about cuts on their hands from the new synthetic ball. Especially vocal were Steve Nash and Shaquille O'Neal. Let's see how stats change now. Melo has been on a tear, will the re-introduction of the leather ball change his game? Will rebounding be changed? Stay tuned..
