Eddie Curry Unharmed in Home Robbery
Eddie Curry was unharmed in a home invasion/robbery this past Saturday at his Chicago home.
From ChicagoTribune.com:
"Burr Ridge police reported no arrests Sunday, a day after three masked robbers restrained Curry, 24, his family and an employee with duct tape and stole jewelry and cash.
Mayor Gary Grasso said that he met with Curry and his wife for about 15 minutes Saturday and that the couple said nothing about moving from their home at the end of a cul-de-sac on a short, isolated street.
"They were very normal in an unfortunate situation: concerned and upset," he said. "His wife said they love living in Burr Ridge and that they had built their dream home. She was wondering about how we are going to pursue this. She asked all the right questions."
The mayor said it was the first robbery and home invasion he could recall in the well-off southwest suburb, which is home to several professional athletes.
There was no answer at the Curry home Sunday."
This is the second robbery which has occurred to an NBA player in the past month. Antoine Walker of the Miami Heat was robbed in a similar manner almost three weeks ago. After seeing some of the plush and stylish cribs that NBA stars own, it begs the question, where's the security system?
