3 Unbeaten Teams - Surprises

I'll be first to say it; I'm shocked at the 3 unbeaten teams so far. I would have expected to see names like Chicago, Miami, Dallas, San Antonio, maybe Phoenix...But the Sixers, Jazz and Hornets?

Sixers would have to be the biggest surprise. They were picked by ESPN the Mag to finish last in the division (I still think that must be a typo). While I don't expect Philly to win the title this year, and I don't love their team, Id expect them to be competing for a 7 or 8 playoff spot. But starting out 3 and 0, beating Miami? That's an impressive start.

I also don't give the Jazz enough credit. Have never been much of a fan of Jerry Sloan but I guess he's got a solid and talented front line in Okur, Boozer and Kirilenko. So I guess you should pencil them in for the playoffs if they are playing like this.

New Orleans is the least surprising. They have a great star in Chris Paul and have added a tremendous sharpshooter in Peja Stoyakovic. Also they added the rebounding/defensive services of big man Tyson Chandler. They appear to have a more athletic squad now that has a top notch shooter and point. So no surprise here.

Meanwhile the Bulls and Heat must be finding themselves. Wouldn't expect them to be 1-2 at this point. The season's young..
