The Heat's Impressive Streak
(Above: The photo has said it all for the Heat this season)
The Heat are on an impressive win streak. One game. They had previously lost 15 straight and finally managed to break free and snap the losing skid on Saturday night. The Heat tried their best to pull off a win a few days ago at the expense of San Antonio, but fell by just a point, 90-89.
According to Reuters.com:
"Down the stretch we had the opportunity to win but once again we just didn't get the job done," said Miami-born forward Udonis Haslem.
That's been the Miami Heat's tale most of this 2007-08 season which has been extremely disappointing for the former champs. Saturday night was a different story. Dwyane Wade scored 35 to lead the way and made a great defensive stop in the final seconds as well. Wade is featured on the current cover of ESPN the Magazine with a quote "It's my life, I know what I can take on". Wade has taken on the responsibility of suggesting a playoff spot for the Heat still this year. The climb seems insurmountable at this point, but more power to him. It's what makes for the best stories in sports.
Will the Heat turn this into a 15 game winning streak? Stay tuned..
