Shaq Appears on Regis & Kelly

Shaquille O'Neal appeared on Regis and Kelly show this AM to discuss his new reality show on ABC, "Shaq's Big Challenge". Shaq said he considers himself a friend to the kids and developed a game for the kids called "Dogman" where if a kid touches him he acts like a wild dog. Shaq discussed being older now so he doesn't heal from injury as fast as before, but he's blessed to be playing basketball still. Shaq said he is also pursuing his doctorate in Public Administration. Shaq said he is currently a detective for the Miami Beach police department as well and helped make an arrest recently.

Regis mentioned that Shaq's new show involves teaching 6 kids to lead a healthier lifestyle. Shaq said he fought with the producers about the show format being boot camp style versus his way of doing things, A clip was shown from the show of Shaq being tough on the kids about working out as he told them to.

"Shaq's Big Challenge" airs on ABC Tuesday night at 9PM EST.
