The Most Efficient Players

The NBA has a new stat being tracked, called "Efficiency Per Game". It basically measures all the categories of points, assists, blocks, rebounds and steals for each player to determine an efficiency rating for each player. The Top 10, as of today:

1 Kevin Garnett , MIN 29.22
2 Carlos Boozer , UTA 28.73
3 LeBron James , CLE 28.7
4 Dirk Nowitzki , DAL 28.6
5 Emeka Okafor , CHA 27.5
6 Ming Yao , HOU 27.18
7 Tim Duncan , SAS 26.09
8 Paul Pierce , BOS 25.7
9 Gilbert Arenas , WAS 25.44
10 Zach Randolph , POR 25.42

These are the guys who are killing it in fantasy leagues right now. The leaders are determined by players with a minimum scoring average of 15 ppg and who have played 7 games, at least. This stat isn't a big deal to the everyday fan, but is probably quite useful when it comes time to contract negotiating or re-signings/trade talk. KG should be demanding a trade right about now if he wants that elusive title..
