The Top College for NBA Talent
An interesting trivia question came up during the Nets-Sixers game the other night. Which college or university has the most NBA players currently? Any guesses? The school with the most current NBA stars is the University of Connecticut with 13.
Here are the 13 current UCONN ballers in the NBA:
Ray Allen, Boston Celtics
Hilton Armstrong, New Orleans Hornets
Joshn Boone, New Jersey Nets
Caron Butler, Washington Wizards
Rudy Gay, Memphis Grizzlies
Ben Gordon, Chicago Bulls
Richard Hamilton, Detroit Pistons
Emeka Okafor, Charlotte Bobcats
Kevin Ollie, Philadelphia Sixers
Donyell Marshall, Cleveland Cavaliers
Marcus Williams, New Jersey Nets
Charlie Villanueva, Milwaukee Bucks
Jake Voskuhl, Milwaukee Bucks
Tied for second were good ol' rivals, University of North Carolina and Duke at 12 each. The 2 schools have produced the likes of Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Grant Hill, Jerry Stackhouse and Elton Brand. Coming in third is Arizona which has current starts like Richard Jefferson, and Gilbert Arenas. So if you're a prospective player you just might want to add these 4 schools to the top of your list.
