Lebron's SNL Debut Tonight

Tonight will mark King James next stop on his continuing successful career; the journey into comedy as he hosts Saturday Night Live on NBC. It will prove interesting to see how the young NBA superstar handles it and which types of skits he will be featured in. Lebron hosted the ESPY's this past year and had some relatively funny moments including dunking a fake baby through a basketball hoop and posing as Bobby Brown to perform a rendition of "My Prerogative". Lebron also has some funny Sprite and Nike commercials under his belt, with "The Lebrons" considered a successful promotion.

Early reviews say that Lebron has been doing well in the rehearsals Previously, NBA legend, Michael Jordan made his hosting gig on SNL at a much older age than Lebron is now, meaning Lebron could host maybe a second time, something unparalleled by athletes. MJ was part of several funny skits including the "Stuart Smalley" skit and "Da Bears" skits. SNL doesn't have too many trademark characters or skits that are memorable right now, so it should make Lebron's appearance more interesting. Other athletes to host the show have been Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Derek Jeter.

Check out Lebron on SNL tonight at 11:30pm EST on NBC.
