Be Like Kobe, Eat Pizza

The latest ESPN magazine has an interesting side piece about what various athletes eat in their diets for peak performance (features MLS, NBA, NHL players and more). Kobe Bryant says that he ate pizza the night before his historic 81-point scoring outburst against Toronto. He says normally he eats healthy foods like shakes and fruits. According to the sports nutrition expert that ESPN has weigh in, he says Kobe doesn't eat enough calories and needs to up it by at least 1000. Take note future ballers: While Kobe is named after a piece of beef, it seems pizza does the trick to energize huge scoring performances.

ESPN Mag also has a small piece discussing former ballers coming back to the NBA. They have quotes from Dennis Rodman (saying hell no he wont return because NBA didn't make him famous), Paul Silas and Nate McMillen. There's also discussion of the KG trade, how it affects Boston and how NBA General Managers are becoming more involved in the support of their teams.

ESPN magazine is available on newstands everywhere and features a College football preview this issue.
